Vaillant ecoTEC Plus Boiler & Cylinder Upgrade – Joyden’s Wood

A high-efficiency boiler and heating system upgrade was carried out for a customer in Joyden’s Wood, Wilmington, Bexley, Kent.

Boiler & Heating:

• The existing Vaillant boiler was replaced with a new Vaillant ecoTEC plus 424 boiler.
• A magnetic filter was installed to help protect the system from debris.
• The condensate pipework was re-run to the correct size.
• A new Grundfos pump and valves were fitted.
• The system was upgraded to an S plan configuration, with an automatic bypass valve fitted.
• The heating system was power flushed using a chemical cleaner and high-strength magnets.
• The new Vaillant boiler comes with a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Hot Water:

• The existing hot water cylinder was replaced with a Gledhill Stainless Platinum cylinder (1200 x 400mm).

Electrical:

• A Hive programmable room thermostat was fitted.
• A qualified electrician wired the boiler and controls.
